Pidy Chocolate Macaron Shells 3.5cm

Macarons are back in fashion, and we are pleased to offer these authentic Chocolate 'Macarons de Paris'. They are made from a base of almonds, egg white and sugar, and measure approximately 35mm in diameter. When delivered, they have a minimum shelf-life of 2 months, and should be stored cool and dry the same way as biscuits, sugars and cereals. Macaroons are chewy and coconutty, whereas Macarons are impossibly light and made of almonds. The Macarons are crisp and brittle to begin with, so you need to allow plenty of time between filling and serving. After you have filled them, cover them up and let them rest a few hours in the fridge. Ideally, you should leave them overnight (or even better, a full 24 hours) in the fridge. This lets the flavour of the fillings infuse into the shells, resulting in a better taste overall. In addition, the moisture from the fillings will help to soften up the shells. When filled, they will keep for approximately 5 days. They can also be used singly to decorate larger desserts, cheesecakes, trifles, gateaux etc. There are 180 pieces in each catering pack. Each piece is 3.5cm in diameter. Please note: These items are hand made and can vary in size- within 0.5cm.
